The Time Dilemma…

Like my part time job, I was quite successful and progressed in my professional career from an outside salesman to a regional manager and then finally to a district manager.  The time constraints of my full time job quickly made my part time job more of a challenge.  I was working a full time job during the day and then building websites, marketing materials and optimizing web sites late in the evenings.  I was closing  million dollar deals during the day and building websites and performing search engine optimization for clients in the evening.

I worked almost non-stop improving my skills in web design, web development, and search engine optimization.  Then in September 2008, I decided to make a full time job change.

The Start of A New Career…

I decided to start my own online web design firm.  So in late October, 2008, my current company was started and I created  Hot Internet Network™, Inc. as a full time career change.  I had a vision of what I wanted my second company to be and saw a niche that would allow me to build a different kind of web design firm.

Hot Internet Network™, Inc. was developed to fill a void within the website design space.  I soon found myself in a very unique space within the world of the web designer.  I had never been schooled in the world of web design ( my degrees are in Marketing & Logistics & Transportation) but I self taught myself what I needed to know and how to get sites optimized and ranking well in all the major search engines.

I saw something else was happening as well within this world of web design.  Here was this Marketing and Logistics major in college using his sales skills and self taught web design skills to provide what was missing in the world of web design.

The Birth of A Complete Web Design Solution…

I started giving my clients what I wanted and knew what they were looking for in a complete website design solution.  I mean, most web design firms only build what their client wants and usually nothing more.  Often, clients are set on a tight budget and choose the least expensive option for their website design (HTML) or a static design.  This often leaves a client with little or no option but to pay their web designer a hefty cost for adding a new page or adding in additional features as their business grows.

I saw this first hand myself over the years on outsourcing projects that were over my head and vowed to be different from the rest of the web designers out there.

In early 2009, I built and developed the very first commerical capable QR code generating website in the United States.  While other sites allowed for non-commerical use of QR codes, I was the very first developer to allow my clients to market products and services with QR codes.  During this time, the rest of the world was far ahead of the United States in using QR codes to marketing their products and services.  Cell phones in the United States, simply were not equipped with QR code readers and the QR code reader software was less than accurate and available for all major cellphones within the United States.   I built a QR code solution to help businesses grow their businesses both online and offline with an advanced technology that is widely available and used today throughout a number of product segments in the United States.  Just as I did then, I continue to do the same thing today with all of my web design solutions as well.
